Shooting

The shooting sport competition has its own FISU Regulations following the most recent rules of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF). The FISU Regulations are always set up on the recommendation of the FISU Technical Chair and the ISSF Technical Delegate in close cooperation with the Committee for Sports Regulations and approved by the FISU Executive Committee. The competitions shall last five (5) days and include the following events:

Men

Rifle
50 m Rifle Prone / 60 Shots
50 m Rifle 3 Positions / 3 x 40 Shots
10 m Air Rifle / 60 Shots

Pistol
50 m Pistol /60 Shots
10 m Air Pistol / 60 Shots
25 m Rapid Fire Pistol / 60 Shots
25 m Standard Pistol /3x20 shots

Skeet
125 Target + Final

Trap
125 Target + Final
Double Trap / 150 + Final

Women

Rifle
50 m Rifle Prone / 60 Shots
50 m Rifle 3 Positions / 3 x 20 Shots
10 m Air Rifle / 40 Shots

Pistol
25 m Pistol / 30 + 30 Shots
10 m Air Pistol / 40 Shots

Skeet
75 Target + Final

Each country may enter a maximum of thirty-six (36) competitors and six (6) officials.
Individual events
In group disciplines: men – rifle, women – rifle may start maximum five (5) competitors and only three (3) competitors in each particular discipline,
In group disciplines: men – pistol may start maximum seven (7) competitors and only three (3) competitors in each particular discipline,
In group disciplines: women – pistol may start four (4) competitors and only three (3) competitors in each particular discipline,
In group disciplines: men – trap, skeet, double trap may start maximum nine (9) competitors and only three (3) competitors in each particular discipline,
In group disciplines: women – trap, skeet may start maximum six (6) competitors and only three (3) competitors in each particular discipline.

Team events
Three (3) - competitor teams in each particular discipline.

    Congratulations to La Trobe University students, Mat Costa and Luke Argiro who represented the Uniroos at the 2016 World University Shooting Championship.

    Both mens competed in the skeet competition with Luke finishing 17th and Mat 23rd overall.
