Australia is set to send the biggest Uniroos team ever to the Summer Universiade as 186 student-athletes prepare for competition in Taipei, Taiwan from 19 - 30 August, 2017.
Across 16 different sports, the green and gold team includes Commonwealth Games swimming gold medallists Leiston Pickett and Ben Treffers, Olympians Michelle Jenneke (100m hurdles), Brittany O’Brien (Diving), Heming Hu (table tennis), as well as two-time Universiade bronze medallist Kiah Melverton (swimming).
In other news, Rio Olympian Brittany O’Brien (Western Sydney University) will lead a young team of divers ready to make an impact at the Summer Universiade in Taipei later this month.
With an average age of 20, the team of five represents the rising stars of Australian diving.
